Institute Overview
The University of Manitoba (UM), established in 1877, is located on 274 hectares in the south end of Winnipeg. UM has 24 academic units operating on two campuses with a current total enrolment of approximately 27,000 students. Students may chose from programs in agriculture and food sciences, arts, business, dentistry, engineering, fine arts, kinesiology and recreation management, medical rehabilitation, music, pharmacy and science. A unique first year experience (University 1) in which students may select from up to 200 courses across faculties is also offered.
